I bought Info Product Killer a few months ago and wanted to give it a nice test run before I reviewed it. The sales page is hyping it up for Christmas and it is obviously too late to use it for that but I think it is really an ANY time guide for developing quick and easy, niche affiliate sites.

The creator of this system shows proof on the sales page that he made over $100,000 during the holiday season using the process he describes in detail in Info Product Killer. He claims it only took about 3 weeks to get everything set up and I believe him after making 2 of these sites myself. I regret not making more!

The system consists of dozens of pdf guides and step by step videos on how to create small, super easy niche sites that revolve around physical products. In his videos he shows toy sites quite a bit. He networks them together so they can give each other link juice and he creates some quick but quality content and he waits for the money to roll in. The videos follow him on his computer screen as he sets them up. There is also a lot of info on choosing hot products, how to set up keywords, getting links and traffic, how to do headers, how to use AdWords if you choose to, and where to get content.

So to test it out I decided to start small and create one brand new site and one new section on and existing web site. Both revolved around toys. I started small so that I could see if it worked without too much of a time investment. I guess I was pessimistic.

The first thing I did was add a niche green toys guide to my existing site. I did get creative and use some of my own touches but I think I followed the ideas pretty well. I even used one of the free web site templates that are included with the product. I just edited it to look more like my existing site and then I added the content and products. Unlike many of the sites shown in the product I pretty much stuck with only 2-3 affiliate programs instead of the MANY that are shown in the videos. After finishing the gift guide I linked to it from some of my other sites and Squidoo pages and added a nice banner to the sidebar of all the other pages and I was curious to see how it would go because this section of my site gets only a fraction of the traffic that my blog does. It took about 3 hours to do and I think I got it done by late October. The net income from this set of 4-5 pages thus far is $372.45 from Amazon and Shareasale.

The next project I completed was even faster…only about 2 hours. I purchased a new domain and I chose to promote Wall-E toys. I used content I had already written…just gave it a refresher, then I linked to it from several of my own sites, made a Wall-E Squidoo page, and added a free reprint article to ezine articles. I made a banner in about 5 minutes and just copied and pasted all the Wall-E products I could find via Amazon. I REALLY doubted I would make anything but hey, I was willing to try. From this site I made $51.22 from Amazon. I paid $7.50 for the domain.

So did I get rich? No….but I am still pleased. I made roughly $83 an hour for the 5 hours I worked on these sites. And honestly, compared to all the author does to his sites…I did a really half-assed job. I am lazy about details sometimes.

So…I wish I had made a couple dozen more because I think the trick is too have lots of these small niches sites. On their own they may not be making you rich but add them together and you have got some profit. And let’s not forget that these two sites will still be around after Christmas too…so I could be making some residual profits all year long.

Next year around mid August I will FOR SURE be making lots of niche Christmas sites.

I highly recommend Info Product Killer! Oh and I found this discount on code on the net: WSO777. It appears to still be valid and sells the product for only $79!

If I had to write a list of the smartest and most strategic business moves I have made I would have to put joining Mom Masterminds at the top of the list. I have been a member for several years now and that one decision has skyrocketed by business and helped me to meet many new and amazing women Internet Marketers.

Basically Mom Masterminds is a private mentoring and networking forum. You join and you have access to the discussion forum and all of the special resources in the learning center. What can you find in the learning center? Lots of business products you would otherwise have to pay for, audio recordings about every business topic under the sun, and printable workbooks. Topics covered are blogging, affiliate marketing, doing joint ventures, outsourcing, podcasting, setting up a help desk, and so much more. There are even 2 exclusive Mom Masterminds blog themes that members can use and they are pretty darn awesome!

I often download the audio lessons to my iPod and listen to them while on the road or traveling with a pen and paper in hand. I come home with a hundred new ideas all ready to implement. I also try and visit the forum every day to see what is going on. It is a very high traffic forum and people are always asking good questions.

Have you ever been to a business forum where you ask a question and people don’t answer…perhaps because they are trying to keep the knowledge to themselves? I know I have. Well, there is none of that at Mom Masterminds. Everybody comes together and really helps each other…even if they are in competing businesses. Those moms who might otherwise view each other as competition instead join together to work on projects and use the influence of two or more to reach new heights. There is no backstabbing…just generosity and helpfulness.

A membership right now costs $39.97 a month but here is the thing…you only have to pay that for 18 months and then you are a lifetime member and never again have to pay the membership fee…an awesome deal if I do say so myself. I know most members would tell you they would stick around even if they had to pay forever! But here is the thing…that lifetime program is going bye-bye. Starting August 1st the price will drop to $24.97 but there is no opportunity to be a lifetime member.

So if you are serious about making money on the Internet and you are in it for the long term…you should join now and take advantage of this opportunity to get in and work towards your lifetime membership before it is gone. All members who join before August 1st are eligible. Also, after August 1st some of the more premium resources will be retired and they will start removing new additions after only 30 days to make make the membership even more exclusive. Get in now!

Join Mom Masterminds

This is day 5 of the Become a Better Blogger Challenge. The mission for today is this:

Day 5. Highlight your most popular posts. Linking to your blog’s most popular posts in a prominent location is essential practice, because it gives new visitors a place to go. They don’t have time to search around for good content: the want to see the best you have to offer, straight away. Linking to popular posts can help ensure that the links and comments keep coming, even after the post is several months old.

Woot! This is another one I already have done…I guess I was a pretty darn good blogger already eh? When I had my blog re-designed about 3 or 4 months ago I asked the designer to widgetize the blog so that I could add new header categories with ease. One of the things I wanted the most was a “Greatest Hits” section. So you will find on my Naturemoms blog a header called Greatest Hits and under it are my most popular blog posts.

Why exactly is this important? Well, I chose those particular posts because they draw in the most traffic, the most searches, and the most money. And they are really kind of the best of the best as far as good and useful content goes. When new visitors come to my blog I want them to be able to look at that Greatest Hits list and see other blog posts that they are sure to love. The more they see and like the more likely they will become an RSS or email subscriber and regular reader.

One of my biggest “secrets” for blogging success involves carnivals and tours. Specifically I am talking about blog carnivals and blog tours and I as a blogger I don’t ignore either of these two important avenues for traffic generation and/or income.

The benefit of Blog Carnivals are really not touted enough in my opinion. They do many things for my blog…they increase traffic, they increase my technorati ranking and link popularity, and they increase my income. Blogcarnival.com is the main hub where you can find carnivals to join. Basically a carnival host sets up a carnival for a certain niche…let’s say green widgets. Then everyone who blogs about green widgets can submit their post to the carnival host for consideration. The carnival host chooses some or all of the submitted posts and creates a special article on their blog that links to all the submissions one by one. Readers that are interested in the subject of green widgets visit all the blogs that appear to have interesting green widget information…increasing your traffic.

If you join carnivals on a regular basis then you are constantly getting new links to your blog. Even if you submit to the green widget carnival every time they have a new edition (let’s say every two weeks) you still might be getting new links as many carnivals rotate hosts to spread the link love. Links to your blog increases your link popularity and potentially your search engine ranking. It also helps you to rank better with Technorati and that is good news becuase many blog ad networks and pay per post networks require a good tehnorati ranking to participate in their programs. Your technorati ranking can be directly impacting your ability to make money with your blog.

Blog Tours can be very similar to a carnival. Sometimes they are just an organized group of bloggers that all post about a certain topic and link out to each other. I have participated in a few of those and I really like them. However, the type of blog tour that I was referring to above are organized groups that attract bloggers to review products. The blogger signs ups to participate in blog tours. Large companies and book publishers contact the tour organization to help them spread the word about their new product or book. The organization then solicits bloggers within their network to review these items and write reviews for their blogs. The bloggers that get accepted then get the review products via mail and they write their reviews according to the tour schedule.

The benefit to the blogger is free product, links from the tour organizer, and sometime compensation as well. I did a dozen or so blog tours last year and for half of them the biggest perk was free product but for others I got paid anywhere from $20-50 per tour with Amazon gift certificates and I got the free product. Last year I reviewed books, software, and food for the most part. Not long ago I got a free educational computer program for my son and then I got paid to write about how he liked it. Pretty cool.

So if you want to get more out of blogging don’t forget to join the tour and go to the carnival.

One of the more fun features or modules on Squidoo is the poll module. It allows you to create a poll with a question or a statement and then multiple choices for your visitors to choose from. But did you know you you can hyperlink the poll choices to Amazon products…increasing your chances for affiliate sales?

It is actually very easy to do. Just login to your Amazon affiliate control panel, choose the appropriate tracking ID, and then start creating product links. Copy a text only version of the link and where Squidoo directs you to “Enter your poll response options” you enter your Amazon link instead of plain text.

Here is a picture of the process:

And here is a picture of the poll after the page is published and you get some voters. The best part about this trick is that the full affiliate commission goes to me. I don’t share it 50/50 with Squidoo as I would with many other modules.

In case you were wondering these two images are from different Squidoo Lenses. Hope this helps you boost your Squidoo profit!

I am an Amazon affiliate and I promote their products quite heavily. The payout out for me is usually 7.5-8% and considering that the conversion rate is high I can get past that. Well, except for maybe at years end when I see that I directed over $24,000 in sales to them and I compare that with my cut.

I made some big boo-boos in regards to properly tracking where my sales come from though. Until very recently I never really took advantage of their tracking codes so that I can see which sites, Squidoo pages, blogs, etc are pulling in the sales. Depending on the product I can pretty much guess some of the time but not all. The need to use these tracking codes became really apparent after I received several offers to buy one of my sites. I am not ready to sell for personal reasons but I realize that since all offers were nice 5 figure sums I would need to demonstrate the site’s ability to turn a profit and it is kind of hard to do that when all of your sales from your large network of sites all get pooled together. So I have started using Amazon tracking codes and will begin the tedious task of replacing existing links very soon.

It is actually pretty easy to do. When you log into your Amazon affiliate control panel you will see a blue box at the top that shows you are logged in under your affiliate ID. Beneath that it says Tracking ID and hyperlinked next to that it says “Manage”. Click on that and you will see a listing of all your tracking codes. You should have at least one. Then click on Add Tracking ID and you will get to add a custom tag that describes whatever site, page, blog, etc you will be creating links for. I just created one recently for my Squidoo pages so it had the word Squidoo in the tag.

Once you have your new tracking code you use the drop down box (inside the blue box) and you select you select the tracking ID of your choice and start building links with it. Easy as pie….if only I had done this from the beginning.

Everyone is talking about these issues…global warming, carbon credits, lead toys, organic foods, going green….consumers are entering a new consciousness and the market for natural living and green lifestyle information and products is booming. What was once a small niche market is steadily gaining ground! Natural is a new norm and there is gold in going green. Here are a few exciting trends that show this market is exploding as we speak:

• Major chain stores now carrying organic food and clothing, green cleaning supplies, and they are powering their stores with renewable energy.
• Tinsletown darlings and celebrities everywhere have been spotted wearing their babies in slings, breastfeeding in public, carrying cloth diapers in their diaper bags, and even giving birth to their babies at home.
• As plastic bags become a social faux paw, BYOB has developed a new meaning….Bring Your Own Bag.
• Homeopathic remedies and holistic treatment is in demand.
• Moms are trading in their SUVs for hybrids and cars that run on waste vegetable oil.
• Parents everywhere are searching for household products with safe and natural ingredients.
• Elle, Vanity Fair, Parents, Rolling Stone, and Surfing magazines all have an annual “green” edition now.
• Lorrie Morgan-Ferrero of Red Hot Copy offers a membership coaching site designed to teach marketers how to write copy aimed at conscious and green consumers.

This market is just getting too large to ignore! Getting an edge means bringing quality, relevant content to your conscious customers and site visitors and no doubt you have been frustrated by the lack of quality PLR to help you market to this elusive green and natural consumer group effectively.

The Natural Mom PLR membership addresses this need with quality, highly-targeted content for the natural market. A low priced monthly membership provides 10 new articles, 10 new niche product reviews/profiles, 5 new natural foods recipes, and a suggested affiliate program report every month. The content is completely original and you won’t find it anywhere other than Natural Mom PLR, which is owned and operated by two “natural” business women and mothers who have been profiting from this market for years now!Article topics will vary from month to month but will cover such topics as: breastfeeding, baby wearing, attachment parenting, cloth diapers, green living, organic foods and products, organic gardening, healthy eating, whole foods, natural health, holistic medicine, homeopathic treatments, and natural lifestyles. Each article is usually 500 words or more with meaty content…no fluff allowed!

If you recall this is a program I have mentioned before. I joined and promoted eBay auctions through AuctionAds and I made $30 in the first month. Last month I made over $40 and this month looks to be even better.

Need even more incentive? At Clicknewz I was reading about how one man made over $5,000 in 3 months with AuctionAds! Sounds like the perfect time to give it a try.
