Blogging for Profits
About a year ago I recall being rather discouraged by the lack of money I was earning from my blog. I was posting quality content every day but I was bringing in less than $50 10 a month. I decided to start doing ReviewMe ads to bring in some revenue and that was nice but it was sporadic. Where was the real profit that so many other bloggers talk about???!
Well, this year…just a few months before my blog’s 2nd anniversary I started to see the profits. Some were behind the scenes as I started getting anywhere from $100 to $500 worth of free natural/green products to review. That was avery nice perk but cold hard cash is good too and luckily that followed as well. My Google earnings went from $8-10 to about $50 and on top of that I stared regularly getting commissions from Amazon and Shareasale products that I was recommending.
Take this post about BPA FREE Sippy Cups. Within one day of posting this article I made 21 sales. In the days afterward I made over that amount and the money just keeps on coming. Two days ago (about a month and half after publication) that post brought in 25 sales and yesterday it brought in 19 sales…and that is just through one affiliate program. The other program I used to promote the sippy cups has also brought me some nice sales but I cannot see exactly what they bought with that one.
I just love the fact that I can work hard on a blog post and have it pay off again…and again…and again. Now I can see how all of that early work getting my blog established was time spent wisely!
